The Hunter Valley is home to some of Australia’s finest winemakers and vineyards, including Tyrells, Tullochs, McWilliams, De Bortoli, Wyndham Estate, Hungerford Hill and Lindemans. In total, over 120 wineries are based in the valley and many have cellar doors open to the public for tasting’s and sales.

The area has a long reputation for providing entertainment and holding events and festivals through-out the year. Some of the most popular are when the vineyards team up with great restaurants and chefs and present concert series that have included such artists as Rod Stewart, Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20) and Michael Buble.

The accommodation in the valley is also varied, from home and farm stays, to vineyards with accommodation, motels, bed and breakfast lodges and luxury resorts.
