South Australia is located in the middle of Australia and has boundaries with all of Australia’s other states except for Tasmania and ACT. this link means that it is an important part of transport infrastructure with direct road and rail links to Darwin, at the top of the country.

When, in 1834 the British Parliament established the State, the plan was that it would embody all that the British Society being no religious discrimination, no unemployment and convict-free. In 1894, South Australia followed New Zealand’s lead to be the second place in the world to allow woman to vote and stand for election.
