The Barossa is Australia’s most famous wine region. With more than 100 accommodation options, it is a popular destination amongst all Australian’s, not just those living in the State.

As the Barossa is only 70km from Adelaide, it is popular for Events and Festivals and several annual gatherings have attracted many repeat visitors to the region. Some of the most popular are the Barossa Gourmet Weekend (August), Barossa Vintage Festival (bi-annually in April) and the International Shiraz Alliance.

Of course it’s not all food and wine in the Barossa … well, not quite. In July the Barossa plays host to the Sprint Auto Parts Rally of South Australia, just for those that want something a little more up paced.
