Mission beach is a 14km golden sand beach that is broken up into four distinct villages, Mission Beach, South Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and Bingil Bay. It is located approximately half way between Cairns and Townsville and about a two hour drive south of central Cairns.
With a wide variety of accommodation is is popular with all sorts of visitors from backpackers through family holiday makers and to romantic honeymooners.
With everything in the area from white water rafting on the Tully River, Game fishing on the Great Barrier Reef and sight seeing on wildlife safari tours, you will never get bored.
Of course for those looking for a more relaxed experience, the long warm days, calm sheltered waters and all the conveniences located in two shopping centre’s, it is also a great place to unwind.
