New rectangular stadium to open in style
Melbourne’s iconic new rectangular stadium has opened in style – heralding an exiting new chapter for sport in Victoria.
The $267.5 million AAMI Park Stadium is the latest jewel in Victoria’s sporting crown and will be the only stadium in the world to host four codes of football, with tenants including Melbourne Victory, Melbourne Storm, the Melbourne Rebels and the Melbourne Football Club.
Major Projects Minister Tim Pallas said sports fans will be blown away by this stadium – there’s not a bad seat in the house and even the back row seats are right on top of the action.
