If you've been meaning to take your family on a fun-filled trip to the Gold Coast, now might be the perfect time!

Dreamworld has just announced that it will be introducing a new attraction in September, so book your plane tickets, organise a rental car in the Gold Coast and head on over to this iconic theme park.

In order to create some hype and prepare Australia for this terrifying new experience, Dreamworld is launching a three-tiered marketing campaign.

Hoodlum, a digital creative company that has won both BAFTA and Emmy awards, was commissioned to put the campaign together.

The company is creating a "rich and complex story" based on the attraction, which will be presented to the public through an interactive video on Facebook.

The designers' aim is make people feel like they're a part of the attraction's "world" before they actually set foot on it.

The first stage of the marketing campaign was released yesterday, and invites people to "Join the Evilution" – that is, enter a competition to win tickets to the attraction's big unveiling on Friday 13.

There has been much speculation about what this new attraction will entail. Many people think it will involve some sort of zombie-themed maze.

Whatever it turns out to be, we're sure it will be scary!

Of course, this is just one of the reasons your family might want to rent a car in Surfers Paradise and visit Dreamworld.

There are many other thrilling rides and attractions here, including the Tower of Terror II. This was recently relaunched and is now one of the "most technologically advanced rides in the world," according to the official website.
