Thank you very much to the incredible team at East Coast Car Rentals for your continued and generous support of Starlight. With your help we can continue to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families at the time they need it the most. Sometimes our kids become unimaginably sick. While healthy children happily play outside, sick kids inhabit clinical wards filled with cold scary equipment. Days become weeks then months of fear, isolation and boredom. Not to mention painful procedures, a lack of privacy and control. Imagine then, the moment Captain Starlight lands in a sick kid’s life lifting their spirits and encouraging them to forget their illness. Imagine the joy on a parent’s face when they see their child smile again. That’s the difference Starlight makes.

The continued support of East Coast Car Rentals helps us disrupt the relentless cycle of pain and trauma and offers families a welcome break so that sick kids can simply be kids. Thank you all once again for making such a massive difference to so many.

Thank you very much to East Coast Car Rentals for your extremely generous donation of $5160.00 for May Starlight Month. This means we can continue to help children and their families gain some relief from the unrelenting emotional and physical strain that comes from living with serious illness.

Our innovative programs are designed as a positive distraction both in and out of hospital. By giving them the opportunity to simply have fun and laugh, we give children and their families a break from pain and suffering, and the chance to forget about their illness even if it’s only for a short while.

Our Captain Starlights, Starlight Express Rooms in hospitals and the granting of magical Starlight Wishes are just some of the ways in which we are able to brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children, giving them renewed strength and the courage to fight on.
