Tourism Australia has launched a new-and-improved version of its 'There's Nothing Like Australia' app, which could come in handy if you're planning to take a holiday Down Under in the near future.
The app – which is free to download – provides users with information about particular destinations around Australia. The upgraded version features Darwin, Hobart, Kakadu, Perth and Adelaide.
So, when you're driving around in your rental car from Adelaide, you can use the app to figure out where to go next!
It can tell you what there is to do in Adelaide, as well as the best places to stay in the area. You can also personalise it, so that it provides you with information that is tailored to your tastes.
For instance, explains Tourism Australia Managing Director Andrew McEvoy, if you've travelled to Adelaide or somewhere else in the country to sample its culinary delights, you can inform the app to focus on 'Food and Wine' experiences.
You can do the same for a range of other experiences, including 'Beaches' and 'The Outback'.
In addition to this, the app incorporates Google Maps and social media platforms. That means you can easily plot a journey to any destination that takes your fancy, as well as share what you're getting up to with friends and family back home.
'There's Nothing Like Australia' comes in five different languages – English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and German – and contains heaps of interactive videos and images, so its very user-friendly.
It contains links to over 140 tourism operators and experiences in Australia, and has been upgraded on the recommendations of past users and "extensive usability testing".
So, what are you waiting for? Download the app from iTunes today, and get planning your next holiday in Adelaide!
