Whatever your preferred kind of theme park, there’s sure to be one to suit you in the Gold Coast. With two of our car hire sites nearby, it’s super easy to get around and visit your favourites. Even better, all of the parks we’ve listed below are on the Pacific Motorway with the exception of Seaworld, which is a short drive away on the coast. If you’re flying into the Gold Coast, check out our car hire in Gold Coast Airport to make the most of your time.

Here’s a run down of our favourite theme parks and what you can expect.

Dreamworld and Whitewater World

Dreamworld has a huge selection of rides, including plenty for children. The two parks are on the same site which makes visiting easy and tickets allow entry into both. Adding a touch of luxury to the world of theme parks, Whitewater World has private cabanas for hire with a fridge, deck chairs and couches. They also have a host of experiences such as the Sunset Safari or Croc Feeding Experience if you can tear yourself away from the rides.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Wet ‘n’ Wild has a wide selection of rides for all the family. Those daring enough can head to the Extreme H20 Zone which features a ride in the dark and a near vertical kamikaze slide amongst its selection. You can learn to surf or body board on their FlowRider attraction or try their daring SkyCoaster. There is a kids section and cabana hire available too.
Sea World Sea World provides an opportunity to get up close and personal with marine animals from all over the world. There are a number of attractions including dolphin and ray presentations. If you’re really keen you can even jump in with the dolphins or snorkel the reef. Visitors can learn about the research and rescue programmes in operation at the park. No theme park would be complete without a selection of thrilling rides and Sea World is no exception. They also have Australia’s only theme park hotel and our car hire in Surfers Paradise is just down the road.
Warner Bros Your favourite movie stars can be found in the daily Streets Star Parade and the Looney Tunes Dance Party. When you’re done with the stars, there are plenty of movie-themed roller coaster rides such as the DC Rivals Hypercoaster or the Green Lantern Coaster. There’s also a kids fun zone and the opportunity for younger guests to become a prince or princess.
