The service we received, on the phone, booking the car, through to the collection, was first class and very professional.We so often are critical of sub standard service that we were delighted to be treated as customers. The website was great, especially the map to where to meet the bus. Your staff were all brilliant and extremely helpful and very friendly. This is the first time we have used your company and we hire reasonably frequently. We will definitely be back as we have never had such a wonderful experience when renting a car. A+++++ your staff all down to the bus driver should be commended. Thank you for making the start of our holiday a pleasurable experience and the return of our vehicle so easy and pleasant. The collection bus was very fast and the driver was great and gave us loads of information that we needed to set out. The branch staff were also extremely helpful and very friendly. The branch was immaculate. Booster seats from previous companies have been very old and outdated and not up to standard. This seat was fine although forgot to mention that the elastic that restrains the seatbelt was starting to undo and should be repaired. The staff were excellent and very friendly and it was obviously the end of a busy day. Everything was perfect.

Cannot remember all the details [of website] as done so long ago - just remember i made the booking easily. Appreciated being told the high of the kerbs needed to be watched as they caused damage to the car when parking or opening the doors if you are not used to the heights. Good for everyone to know before hand and part of your policy to avoid accidental damage.

The location was so easy to find and shuttle service was fantastic to pick up our vehicle. The vehicle was great and was better than what I expected as I thought it might be just an older Toyota. It was nice to have a modern people mover for all of us. The staff were so friendly and an absolute joy to deal with as you were treated as a person and not just another customer coming through the door. We were so pleased to have the whole transaction done so quick and efficient after a long trip up to cairns.

Great service, free bus from the airport saved $30! Drove out in 15 min with a great car, with unlimited km's. Almost 50% less than some of the other companies and a better service. Everything explained when signing agreement so no nasty surprises. Will definitely use no other rental after this. Check it out and compare, worth it. P.S. GREAT STAFF. Fantastic range of "WHATS ON" and "WHERE" pamphlets and staff are helpful and give excellent advice.

[Website] Very easy to do. We have dealt with East Coast Car Rentals each year when we travel to Queensland (approximately 4-5 occasions). A very user friendly website which I found extremely easy to navigate. The prompt reply to my quote was almost immediate and I even had a phone call which was fantastic service. Very efficient and friendly helpful service we were on our way in no time with minimal paperwork. Awesome vehicle a 12 seater which was very economical and served more than served its purpose for us. Website was straight forward and easy to gain info from. We had great service from the staff who were informative and helpful. The staff were friendly and very approachable, did not have to wait for shuttle bus, on arrival bus was waiting at airport and on departure the shuttle took us to the airport as soon as all the paperwork was finalised ... great service.

The website was very easy to use and I received a quick response when I emailed a question through. Very easy process! The wrong paper work was printed off originally (wrong car registration, odometer reading etc) but we went back and this quickly fixed by the friendly staff. The rental experience was very good. Could not think of anything to recommend as an improvement as there was nothing negative about the experience.

Don't think there is much to improve on - just need to keep up the great service. Corporately I have to use one of the 'big' rental car companies and have a lot of experience of their service - this rental was a private one for my family's holiday and I was blown away by the efficiency of the East Coast Rentals team. Much better service than the 'other bigger' rental companies. Well done!

There were some phone issues initially with the phone lines overloaded, however my call was redirected to a mobile phone and it was promised that someone would call me back. I have to say I was sure no-one would and was busy looking for a rental alterative when I was called back by the reservation desk. Great follow-up! Given a brand new 8 seater Hyundai with 150ks on the clock!

AJ, the gentleman who served us when we arrived was extremely polite and helpful. He explained everything to us and was extremely helpful. AJ had all the paperwork ready and waiting for us when we arrived. All we had to do was sign and pay and we were on our way! The collection branch was exceptionally clean and tidy! We had a very easy and quick service through East Coast rentals. We sill be sure to use them next time we head to QLD mid 2010!!

The whole experience was first class. I had never used East Coast before and was unsure what to expect from a 'smaller' company. It was very personalised, my name was on a sign in the car window welcoming me and all of the staff were friendly and efficient. I will always use East Coast car rentals in future!

You made our first visit to Australia so easy. The pick up at 'Cairns' was prompt and the young lady who collected us was extremely friendly, courteous and very informative! Until finding you on the Web in Wales our first intentions were to hire from one of the world known rental Company's. We are glad that we found your web site as we were happy with every aspect of our experience. We will recommend you to anyone we know who intends to visit Australia and the 'East coast'. Your Local Agent explained everything in a very clear and understandable language. Our copy of the agreement could have ben clearer. The Carbon copy did not represent the original as the markings never showed through. GPS was Fantastic!!! Without it we would never have been so relaxed and found everything so easily. If you don't want to fall out with your partner on holiday-Get GPS. I cannot recommend GPS highly enough for anyone who goes to Australia for the first time!!! You have a great Company and we are glad that we found you!

The girl we dealt with was excellent, she went through the whole procedure of paper work and going over the vehicle, in all great and very smooth. We had originally picked up our rental, en route to our destination realised the vehicle had an engine light on, on the dash board, when we got to our destination in Shailer Park I immediately rung the Surfers main branch and advised them, the next morning they arrived where we were staying in Shailer Park with another vehicle, the change over out in the field was so easy and Darren the man who done the swap over couldn't be more helpful and more so apologetic about what had happened. Replacement vehicle excellent just what we wanted. Full marks. Excellent again, AB's were fantastic, we got in there and sorted right away and in the coach to the airport. Just keep doing what you are doing excellent, great people and great vehicles.

I rang to confirm an online booking as could not wait for online reply and receptionist was very helpful and got me a confirmation within half an hour. Excellent. Surfers Paradise staff friendly and efficient,was impressed with car groomer checking tyre pressures before handing over car, small but important stuff.

The staff member I dealt with was very friendly and ensured that I had a map and knew about the toll bridge and how to pay for it etc. Car was great on petrol and a good size for our purpose. If we were to return however we would probably go up to the next size car (just so we can accommodate our luggage comfortably in the boot). The car check and paper work was very efficient and it was good to see the staff member actually put the carbon copy of my credit card through the shredder. Everything was really good. From my initial website enquiry through to return. We did have to wait at the airport for pick-up for about 20 mins on arrival - but besides this everything was smooth sailing. We would definitely recommend to others and use again ourselves.

I particularly wish to commend Natalie the collection branch staff member who looked after me on collection and return of the vehicle. Natalie was friendly, efficient, competent and managed the whole process very promptly. I travel to Cairns 2 times a year for family visits and based on my experience I will definitely be renting from East Coast Car Rentals next time. I understand that in an attempt to keep costs down that probably a decision was made not to spend a lot on the interior decoration of the office in Cairns but I do think that the office could do with a little 'sprucing up'. However, this is not essential to my experience, just a comment. Keep up the excellent work. Best regards.

It is a very user friendly website, and confirmation was prompt. The staff at the collection depot have on both occasions been very friendly and professional and processed all the paperwork with minimum fuss. The vehicles so far have been near new, very clean and always fresh smelling .... (nothing worse than bad odour's in a vehicle).They have both been mechanically sound and have been a pleasure to drive. The vehicle returns have both been at East Coast direct, and on both occasions, the staff have been very friendly and the return inspections very prompt and fair. The shuttle transfers have also been prompt,with friendly drivers to boot. There are no areas I could really throw any negativity on,so I would just like to give credit where it is due and say thank you for a hassle free experience. Keep up the good work.

If it was not for Shaun's call I would not have hired a car from East Coast Rentals. His phone manner was excellent and his customer service was perfect! I have heard many horror stories from rental cars and found none of these to be true with this company. Thank you again. Staff on duty at Surfers Paradise office both on collection and return of vehicle, were very friendly. Paperwork explained very well and vehicle instruments, etc explained well. We half expected with the really low cost, that vehicle would not be up to much but it was really new and in pristine condition. Well maintained and never let us down. Although vehicle was the basic/cheapest model (Getz), it was more spacious than expected and very economical. Even managed the big hills up to Tamborine Mountain! We decided at quite short notice to extend our hire by a couple of days....Staff at Surfers Paradise office couldn't have been more helpful, efficient and fast...no trouble at all.
