I had booked a Tarago weeks in advance only to see the last available drive out as we arrived. We were stuck with a tour bus. Thanks to a special effort by Roy he exchanged the bus for a Tarago that night in his own time, so thank you to Roy.

Excellent customer service, the staff at the Gold Coast did their utmost to be helpful and friendly. An example of this is that I had just missed the shuttle bus (didn't worry me since I wasn't in a rush), but they insisted on calling the bus back to pick me up.

Appreciated the Staff member fully explaining the insurance covers and what we could be liable for under different circumstances. This was our first experience hiring a rental car. As we were checking in after hours, Damien phoned and organised our check in and briefed us on the procedures, saving us from doing this on-line. He was most helpful and courteous and followed through with sending us the data in the time frame specified. We were most satisfied with our service with East Coast Rentals. We picked up the car directly from the airport car park as we had arrived after hours. The directories were clear and straight forward, apart from not having much lighting to complete the documents. All instructions were well explained verbally as well as sent through email for which we had printed out. We were totally satisfied with East Coast Rentals service and can think of no improvement necessary.

My parked rental vehicle was hit was a car that lost control which caused significant damage. East Coast Rentals provided great and efficient service with providing a replacement vehicle and no excess payment was required. I would definitely use East Coast Rentals again. A very useful GPS, it saved my time to find the places manual way. Never regret rented it. Fully recommend to those who are not familiar with the place. The booster seat for kid a bit bulky. When i found the site on the net, it was all very simple and easy to book my reservation, i was so pleased to be able to book the night before i picked up a vehicle the next morning. The staff at the branch were very hospitable and fast. I felt very comfortable and would return and rent again through the same branch. My family and I enjoyed the vehicle we had, it was very roomy, excellent on petrol and just a joy to drive. The return of the vehicle was also fast,we were in and out in a couple of minutes. The staff member we had on our return was very helpful with other inquiries as well. There is nothing more to improve, everything was at my satisfaction .Thanks EAST COAST ...

The staff was very professional and understanding with our requirements as the family car was off the road and had to extend our hire of the car. One simple phone call and all was taken care of with prompt and no fuss at all. Very clean and well set out including the information sheets located within the store. Was great [website], just needed to ring someone to fine tune what I wanted...but otherwise, it was all there, and clearly available for you to work it out. The guy I dealt with was fantastic, he was very friendly, (wish I got his name, so I could give credit where credit is due) and nothing was too much trouble. His phone was just about ringing off the hook, and yet he just kept his cool, would apologise, and then would return to my questions and never once did he make me feel like a bother! He also allowed us to rent a car in Melbourne for 2 days, even though 3 was the minimum, but due to us renting one in the Gold Coast for eight days, he said it was ok. NOW THATS FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!! WITH FLEXIBILITY! AND TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE SITUATION!!! Something people nowadays DONT KNOW HOW TO DO!!! (other's feel, if the computer says no, well, it means no). GREAT SERVICE GUYS!!Cant speak highly enough. The guy who picked us up at the GC, was very efficient, friendly and jovial. At the branch...Needed some TLC and a ladies touch!! (sorry guys)! Everyone we dealt with, whether over the phone, at the office or the cleaners were all exceptional...extremely courteous and helpful and jovial. Thanks everyone for making it all so easy for us! It was very easy to search for the type of car we wanted. I really liked how everything was itemised and we knew what we were hiring and how much each section would cost us ie. car seat, booster seat, insurance etc. was very impressed with how quickly we were picked up from the airport. With two young children, I was a little concerned about waiting, but it was easily less than five minutes before we were picked up. We were extremely happy with the vehicle. The only thing I would have preferred would have been to have someone who was qualified to fit the car seat properly. We had a little bit of trouble fitting it. I understand the liability issues with having it fitted already but it would have saved us time and hassle when we just wanted to get going. Very happy with the return of the vehicle. Inspection was quick as was the paperwork. We had a little wait for the shuttle return but nothing that we were at all concerned about. Well we were very happy with the service, I won't bother looking anywhere else next time. Both of my sisters live up near the Gold Coast and we will definitely be coming back. If we ever need to hire a car I will go straight to East Coast car rentals. I will also be recommending East Coast Car Rentals to anyone and everyone. Thank you for making car hire easy and quick, not to mention great value for money! Five star car hire.

After days of investigating most of the available websites relating to car rental in QLD I came across East Coast Car Rentals and found their prices very appealing. Super easy to make a reservation and then receive conformation. Booked via internet, though I spoke to one of the reservations staff to check if we could travel to a certain destination. I found the staff very helpful and friendly over the phone. Pick up from the airport was very prompt, once at the rental outlet the paperwork was quick and easy. The car was just as described and fit our families needs perfectly. The branch was fresh and clean, as were the toilets. The car served it's purpose and was very reliable, very fuel efficient. The second we pulled into the driveway to return the vehicle a staff member approached the vehicle, by the time we had unloaded the car and put the bags in the shuttle van the inspection and paperwork were completed. We were very impressed how quickly we were taken to the Airport. The driver was very friendly and helpful. We had no complaints at all, the car and service were fantastic. No waiting around, very quick service!! Thank you.

I Goggled and found the website no probs. it was easy to get the quote and then to accept it. Site looked a little old at Tugun and the guys were run off their feet. i did have to wait a while but was acknowledged straight away. Website was the best site i found that had most information on what i needed to know. was told 10-15 minutes for pick up, but we arrived in poor weather, so presumed that made the delay. Great shuttle service though! When car was returned, immediate travel to the airport was given..was very happy with this service. Car was great, and overall rental was affordable. was happy with choosing this vehicle through east coast ... and in future will do again. The experience was great enough, your instructions were easy to understand upon arrival and pick up of shuttle. Divers were great and prompt with getting you to and from the airport. Staff were great, didn't take up your time, we were on our way in no time. Car was good and reliable. East coast rentals were easy to find when returning the vehicle. Great car rental company ... I would use your company again even with the minor inconvenience of using a shuttle as opposed to an airport office. Your company presented a clean and professional office with very friendly staff.

Only concern originally was that the car pick up was not at Cairns airport however, on arrival we made a quick phone call to East Coast & after a short wait a mini van arrived to taxi us into Cairns. The young french driver who returned us to the airport was very friendly and courteous. Vicki in the office was also very helpful and professional. Overall, we were very impressed with the service and the car, which we will definitely use again. Thank you East Coast Car Rentals.

Some of the detail, such as "unlimited kilometers" and perhaps more in depth detail on the options in reducing the insurance/payout responsibilities etc. may not be important for repeat users, but I found them a little uncertain for a first-time user. A quick phone-call, however was very easy to clear up any uncertainties. The young lady who responded to my telephone questions was sure of the answers and her cooperative attitude was really appreciated. The young man who explained the detail of the reduction in insurance matters was just the most professional I have encountered in the several years we have been renting cars from Tullamarine. His manner was explanatory without being subservient, and his information was obviously directed in being of help to our understanding of the system. The vehicle was spotless in and out, not surprising in a vehicle with only 5000 Km on the clock. I was advised a couple of hours before the vehicle was due to be returned, that a local problem would require me to return the vehicle to Andrews Parking at a different location. We were advised of the new return address and what sort of things to expect in that return, and assured that we would still receive prompt shuttle return to Tullamarine Airport. The return went without a hitch. There is little doubt that short of a very different future experience, we will be customers of East Coast Car Rentals for many future trips to Melbourne. We expect to travel to Melbourne 4 times every year, until ????. Also, we have finished our shopping search for Car Rentals, as your service has been so much superior to all our previous experiences in the past 3 years. Thank you.

This is the first time we haven't used one of the larger car rental companies and was a bit nervous about East Coast as the only thing we knew about them was from the internet, my wife felt ok cause of your affiliation to someone. Anyway I can not fault the service we received - when we arrived from the time we phone them to the time to walk to the meeting, the van had arrived waiting for us. It took a little while to get our car but that was because they were so busy, people picking up cars and dropping them off at 6.30 on a Saturday night. The car was clean and reliable and the drop off service was top notch as well.

The service when we collected the car was the best we have ever experienced. It was friendly, thorough and we knew exactly what was required of us. Given we dealt with the torrential rain and shocking winds during our stay, we felt safe in the car when travelling on the wet roads.

I was very happy with the website. Compared to other companies I found it much easier to determine the final cost and be confident in what I had to pay. Most other companies sites were a minefield of add on's and what may have appeared cheap at the start, ended up blowing out substantially.
