Driving in Victor Harbor

Just 80 kilometres south of Adelaide, Victor Harbor has long been a popular holiday destination for the States resident population. At times a rugged bluff, it is offered some shelter from Granite Island.

Now, a scenic town where in winter, whales can be seen in Encounter Bay just metres from the shoreline, is a far cry from the days of 1837 when the area was home to two whaling stations and whale oil became the first export for South Australia.

Victor Harbor offers visitors lots to see and do with the South Australia Whale Centre, the old Horse Drawn Tram and numerous walks around the bluff.
