Driving in Noosa

In 2002 the New York Times described Noosa as a place "that appreciates nature and the good life". This is probably the most fitting way to described the area. For many years the residents, or Noosans, have battled to ensure that the area remains un-polluted and protected as a bastion of natural beauty.

The beach front of Noosa is lined with apartments and resorts that separate the beach from the main street, Hastings Street. Despite this the public can still access the shoreline along a wood broad walk that runs the length of the bay.

Behind the beach and resorts lay the canals and waterways that are lined with multi-million dollar homes. Playground to the rich and the retired. Noosa is a favourite location to many Queenslander's and interstate visitors and each year attracts many thousands of visitors.

Tourism Noosa work very hard at promoting the region and their website is very informative and helpful.
