Warner Brothers Movie World is located about a 45 minute drive south of the Brisbane Airport and about 20 minutes from the heart of Surfers Paradise. In addition to a theme park, the site is also an actual working studio with eight sound stages, three water tanks, ten production offices as well as all the required set building and costume facilities.
The studios are the birth place of such movies as House of Wax, Scooby Doo, Peter Pan, Ghost Ship and Fortress as well as being used for some of the post-production work on the Matrix Trilogy.
The theme park itself offers the whole family hours of entertainment, meeting the favourite cartoon characters such as Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny and Shrek as well as superhero's such as Batman, Superman and Catwoman.
Live stunt shows on the Police Academy set and studio tours make up the rest of the fun filled day.
