Driving in Ceduna

Located in Murat Bay on the Great Australian Bight, Ceduna is 1900 kilometres to the east of Perth and 800 kilometres west from Adelaide. Due to its position on the Eyre Highway, which crosses the Nullarbor Plains, it is estimated that almost one quarter of a million tourists pass through town each year.

Ceduna is taken from the Aboriginal word 'Chedoona', which loosely translates as 'place to sit down and rest' and given the distances to travel across the surrounding plains in order to get anywhere, its easy to see why the indigenous people named it this.

Ceduna, although relatively small, has a wide range of accommodation, banks and business services for both the locals and the travellers on the way through.

A great place to stop and revive, catch a meal and meet the friendly locals. Learn more here.
