This small town of approximately 53,000 people, first caught our attention as the gateway to Fraser Island and Fraser Coast. Whale watching became very popular off the coast and with the high profile of Mimi McPherson (super model Elle McPherson's sister) starting up as an operator, it wasn't long before Hervey Bay was making national news

This exposure, coupled with the natural beauty that surrounds Hervey Bays and the peaceful, almost lazy life style, soon attracted many visitors to the area and many investors seeking to buy up holiday homes in what was expected to be the next Noosa.

In 2004, both Jetstar and Virgin Blue began flying to Hervey Bay from the southern State Capitals and it is now entrenched in Australian Culture as a great holiday destination.
