If visiting Australia has always been at the top of your travel wishlist, then you may want to apply for a job in the country’s tourism industry.

Tourism Australia is currently running a competition called “Best Jobs in the World,” where it is seeking applicants who would like to come and work in the tourism sector.

The six “best jobs” open for application are for the positions of ‘Chief Funster’ in NSW, Park Ranger in Queensland, Wildlife Caretaker in South Australia, Taste Master in Western Australia, Outback Adventurer in Northern Territory and Lifestyle Photographer in Melbourne.

Does that sound like your dream working holiday? If so, you might want to head to www.australia.com/bestjobs. To enter, all you need to do is submit a 30-second video which shows why you would be great for one of the positions. Just get in quick – applications close April 10!

Tourism Australia managing director Andrew McEvoy said that he had already received some high calibre applications.

“Just remember though, if you want to win it, you’ve got to be in it. The closing date is fast approaching and I’d strongly advise people to submit their video application as soon as possible rather than waiting until the last day,” Mr McEvoy said.

Even if you aren’t interested in applying for one of the jobs, this competition does paint an accurate picture of what holidays in Australia are all about – fun and adventure.

You don’t have to work as a park ranger in Queensland to explore the beautiful natural rainforests and diverse wildlife that this state has to offer!

Australia’s rich and diverse environment is well-worth a visit, competition winner or not.

If you are coming our way soon, be sure to organise a car hire Brisbane Domestic Airport when you arrive, so that you can head straight out to see Tropical North Queensland’s picturesque natural attractions for yourself!
