Donnini's Simply Italian Restaurant

Tiberio Donnini is a well known and respected Italian Restaurant Entrepreneur. It is he who has brought authentic and delicious Italian food to the Hilton Hotel Cairns. With fresh local produce, mouth-watering dishes are created with direct inspiration from the great land of Italy, where pizza reigns supreme.

With a relaxed atmosphere, whether you're heading over for lunch or dinner, it's a great place to take your family or friends. Enjoy the rich tomato sauce, handmade dough and a couple of carefully selected flavours, the pizza in particular are absolutely tasty.

Tosca Trattoria Bar and Pizzeria

It's not too hard to see why this pizzeria is a popular hang out. The atmosphere is laid-back and the simple and fresh pizzas are gorgeous. You can choose from a range of meat, seafood or vegetable options.

This is another eatery where the pizzas have been inspired by old world Italy, with char-grilling and fresh baking the main methods used. There's also a children's menu, and delicious desserts to finish off your meal.

This eatery is located on the first floor of the Cairns Central Shopping Centre. Enjoy a slice or two after you've hit the great selection of shops here.

Pizza Capers

You can't go wrong with this classic. Pizza Capers aims to bring gourmet pizza to you, wherever you are. In 1996, the creators of Pizza Capers were sick and tired of cheap junk food. Passionate about food, the creators worked to bring the people of Australia a varied menu with a range of pizza options, every single one made with the freshest and best quality ingredients.

Some favourites from the successful pizzeria include The Soul of Italy, which is from the Artisan Handcrafted Pizzas section. The classic pizza sauce is a base for bacon, Kalamata olives, slow roasted Roma tomatoes, garlic, crumbled feta, anchovies and the whole thing is covered in rocket salad and a dash of balsamic glaze.

Bel Paese

This is the kind of eatery you'd find down the streets of Rome. Nick is the chef and host, carrying on the traditions from his own father, Salvatore Mure. Keeping alive the family tradition, he is helped by his son Salvatore. The pizzas here are made using traditionally Italian flavours and techniques.

There are many to choose from, each one with mozzarella and Bel Paese distinctive seasoned tomato sauce. The Americana is made with spice Italian Salami and the Aussie is an interesting choice with ham and egg. The Siciliana is a winner with olives, anchovies, onion, capsicum, garlic and herbs.

Along with pizza, there are many Italian dishes that are equally flavoursome, such as pasta, breads, calzoni and veal. Head over with your family, friends or partner for a casual and decadent meal that will leave you wanting to go back for more.

La Porchetta

Way back in 1985, Italian born Rocky Pantaleo and Felice Nania transformed a run-down pizzeria into a popular haunt for Melbournians. It quickly became known as a place with a great vibe where the food was always good.

Rocky and Felice were obviously dedicated and loved food, coming across as humble and down to earth but incredibly capable of igniting your tastebuds. In the years since, restaurants have popped up throughout Australia and New Zealand. The Cairns store offers the ultimate Italian experience with top quality service and meals created from only the best ingredients.

If you feel like enjoying your meal at your hotel, or fancy hopping in your rental car and driving to the nearest park for an impromptu picnic, the take-away menu is extensive and delicious. The Pizze Tradizionale and Pizze Artigianale sections are chock full of traditional and gourmet pizzas.
